Zach here, again.
I hate cheesecake. There, I said it. *Zach patiently waits for the “boos” and “hisses” (what the heck is a hiss anyway?) to quiet down* You know why I hate cheesecake? Because it’s too dang rich! I have one bite and I’m done! Who wants a dessert that lasts 2.4 seconds before you don’t want anymore?!
The solution? This cheesecake.
Now, many a cheesecake connoisseur will say, “but that’s not a true cheesecake!” Blah, blah, blah. The bottom line is this: there are only 4 ingredients, it’s SUPER easy, and because it’s not so dang heavy, you can take your time eating it without getting sick of it. Seriously, just try this fantastic dessert.
Makes 1 cheesecake.
Ingredients:
- 1 pkg. {8 oz.} cream cheese, softened
- 1 {8 oz.} tub Cool Whip, thawed
- 1 & 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 large ready-to-use graham cracker crust
Directions:
- Whip cream cheese until smooth.
- Add Cool Whip and combine until smooth.
- Add sugar and continue whipping until completely dissolved. {Add more sugar depending on your taste.}
- Pour in graham cracker crust and smooth over.
- Let refrigerate for about three hours until set. {It won’t come out completely solid, so if that’s how you like it, try freezing it.}
I will graciously forgive your boos and hisses AFTER you make this dessert and enjoy every second of it. Much love,
-Zach

I completely agree with you! Whenever I get a cheesecake, I end up giving the rest to my boyfriend or to someone else.
This is just perfect. Thanks!

I make a cheesecake just like this! Grew up on it. But instead of plain sugar, I use powder sugar and then add some vanilla in it as well. I’ll have share my version the next time I make it.
Thanks for linking it up to this week’s Catch a Glimpse Party. And SOOO happy we got to meet at SNAP! š

How much powdered sugar do you use?

Try using a small box of lemon jello
Dissolve in 1/2 of boiling water. Add this to the cream cheese instead of the sugar. Then mix in the cool whip. You can use almost any flavor of jello.

Does the sugar ever disintegrate fully? Made it a few hours ago, whipped the heck out of it, and still so grainy which is a texture I just can’t stand. Any tips on how to get the sugar to dissolve?
Other than that- LOVE the taste!
