First off, can we get a big Happy Birthday to my babe, Adelaide?! She’s two today. TWO! Today will be filled with watching the Air Force Thunderbirds, floating the Poudre River, and eating delicious food.
Second, Happy National Ice Cream Month! Did you know that’s what July was? National Ice Cream Month? They even have a National Ice Cream Day, which was this last Sunday. I know. You’re probably wondering why this recipe wasn’t posted before Sunday. And to that I say – let the partying continue!
I don’t know about you, but Dr. Pepper happens to be my all-time favorite soda. I have tried to do the Coke/Pepsi thing, but it just doesn’t do it for me like DP does! I’m from Utah and recently a lot of drive-up soda shops have been popping up everywhere. Their most popular item on the menu is what is called a Dirty Dr. Pepper. It’s made by mixing Dr. Pepper {of course}, coconut, and lime. Doesn’t that sound amazing?! Trust me when I say it is. It is, hands down, the best soda concoction you will ever try.
As you know, I am an official ambassador for REAL® Seal Dairy – the official stamp of real dairy products that you can trust – and what better dairy recipe can you think of than ice cream? It has been so warm around these Colorado parts, so ice cream is pretty much a staple in our house. With this Dirty Dr. Pepper Ice Cream, it adds in the taste of this favorite drink flavor with an already loved dessert.
