With this Homemade Bisquick Mix, you’ll never have to buy Bisquick again! It only requires four ingredients and tastes just like the real thing. You can substitute it in any recipe that calls for Bisquick and you can’t even tell the difference.
Have I got something awesome for you today. Raise your hand if you’ve ever bought a box of Bisquick. {Sarah raises both hands, because she’s bought who-knows-how-many boxes.} Sure, it’s not all that expensive, but, when you have a daughter like mine that could eat blueberry pancakes every morning of her life, we go through Bisquick like it’s going out of style!
My little brother was visiting from out of town all last week and we got reminiscing about the good ol’ days when my dad would make Strawberry Shortcake every Sunday. Then, just like that, we found ourselves with a major craving for strawberry shortcake. I realized that I had just used the last bit of Bisquick though and had no desire to leave the house.
Cue this recipe. It tastes just like the original Bisquick and after making that Strawberry Shortcake, I can tell you that it works perfectly in recipes that call for Bisquick! You, my friends, will never have to buy another box of Bisquick again. #yourewelcome

How about making it lactose free and a little more healthy….
Almond flour or another
Coconut oil
I already use almond/coconut milk with my Bisquick but changing to almond flour adds protein! And coconut oil is so much healthier and has great shelf life.

How long is the shelf life on this? Can I make it ahead and store it in an airtight container or do I need to make it as I use it?

Could I use self-rising flour and just leave out the salt and baking powder.
Hollie says
Glad I found this. Does it work well with whole wheat flour?

I like that it can be divided in half and thirds easily so I don’t have to have a lot left over, since this isn’t something I use often! I’m trying this for the first time today.
