This Bananas Foster Frappe is light and sweet and is easy to whip up in your Blendtec! It combines the flavors you know and love of this iconic dessert and puts it in a drinkable form.
Yeah, you read all that right. A Bananas Foster FRAPPE. I have to admit that I feel cool for even knowing what Bananas Foster is. I’m probably a little behind on the times, but I didn’t know what it was until about a year and a half ago, when I went to dinner at The Melting Pot with my friend, Sandra from A Dash of Sanity, and she got the Bananas Foster fondue. Wow, that stuff was amazing. When I told Zach that I was going to make a Bananas Foster Frappe, he looked at me funnily and said, “You’re not going to name it that though, right? Nobody even knows what that is.” Heh heh heh. Little did he know. And so began the Bananas Foster Frappe. Behold, the goodness.
This recipe is actually part of a round-up of awesome smoothie recipes with a few of my favorite bloggers! We have gotten together, along with Blendtec, to give away a Blendtec Designer 725 Blender and Twister Jar to one of you lucky winners, so you can make these great smoothies at home!
In case you haven’t heard of Blendtec, they’re a U.S. based company that sells the best of the best in blenders. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I have LOVED my Blendtec this last month and I can’t believe how versatile it is! Smoothies are just the tip of the iceberg as far as what you can make with these bad boys. You can make so many things, from soups, dressings, breads, baby food, and my personal favorite – nut butters. I can’t wait to recreate the coconut peanut butter we bought in Hawaii a couple years ago! Oh yeah, you live on the other side of the world! So weird. Also weird – every time I see your name pop up on FB, I read what you have written in an Australian accent. HAHA! That’s where you’re from, right??

Hi there,
This recipe looks amazing, but I was curious if I should blend some ice with it or just blend all the ingredients together as they are? I bet it would be amazing both ways! Which way do you use? I look forward to hearing back from you so I can make this tasty drink!
