This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and BJ’s Restaurants, but all my opinions are my own. #DineInOrderAhead #pmedia http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV
Zachary is working all week this week and I didn’t even make it through the first day, without needing to drown my sorrows from missing him so much. We have some really great friends that live in the town just next us, and they were awesome enough to meet me at BJ’s Restaurant for a little pick-me-up.
I headed out the door and had been driving for five minutes before I realized that I left my fancy camera {fancy, meaning better than my iPhone} at home and had to turn around and get it. Ugh. I was already running late, but there’s just something about documenting an outing on a nice camera, rather than a cell phone camera, that makes you want to actually look at the pictures when you’re done. Once I got it, I was on my way and of course – there was traffic on the freeway and construction in town. I ended up being like 45 minutes late and I felt so bad! It was like, “Hey guys, wanna come to dinner? And oh yeah, it’ll feel like you’re on the verge of being stood up, but don’t worry! I’ll make it there for the last 15 minutes.”
Anyway, I made it and all was well. I sat down and immediately, the waitress brought me my meal. Magic! How did that go down, considering I had only been there for half a minute? Thought you’d never ask. BJ’s just came out with this awesome new app {can be found here: http://goo.gl/SpFH6O for iPhone users and here: http://goo.gl/VO6HSN for Android users} that allows you to order your meal exactly how you want it ahead of time, using their Dine in Order Ahead feature and on top of that, you can actually pay for it, right from your phone, using their Mobile Pay feature. No more waiting in line, feeling awkward when you have to tell your waiter to come back in a minute {for the third time} because you don’t know what you want, and no more wasting time waiting for the check. {<=== That last one is my favorite part.}
So, yeah. My meal came out. It was awesome. And as I went to take a picture on my camera, a big “SD CARD NOT INSERTED” popped up on the screen. Nooooo! Apparently, things just weren’t meant to go my way last night. So, you get lower quality phone pictures instead, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t an awesome time! Just look at this face:
