This Christmas Layered Drink is such a festive, holiday drink! It is super easy to throw together and actually tastes pretty great!
I don’t know about you, but we are in full-fledged Christmas mode over here! The tree has been up for a couple of weeks and was fully decorated last night. Christmas music has been playing for over a month. Now, we have all of the stockings, lights, and wreaths up and it feels so right. We have even had a Christmas food themed dinner this week. I am a total sucker for holiday shaped food and this Christmas Layered Drink fit right in!
I have honestly made this drink multiple times in the past few weeks, partly because I wanted to use up the extra drink that I had to buy to make it, but mostly because I kept drinking it all before I have time to photograph it. What can I say, it’s just that good!
In case you have ever wondered about the science behind something like this Christmas Layered Drink, I’m here to tell you all of the secrets! It is all based on the sugar content of the juices and sodas you are using to make it. You want the drink with the highest amount of sugar to be on the bottom, then end with the drink with the lowest amount of sugar on the top. You use ice cubes to slow down how fast the drinks collide in the cup, so they just kind of float on top of each other, rather than mix and mingle. It really is so cool to me! I have done this for way too many different holidays and it makes me happy every time.
Try it in individual cups or make a big pitcher of it for a party. Enjoy!

To 2-80 age group, and festive. Only thing, sugar rush if you drink too much. We made one glass at a time. We left it out on the deck table. (28 degrees)Full glass of ice ( wine glass) then 1/3 of each ingredient. Thanks for a great easy festive recipe. Now an added menu item for holiday gatherings at Christmas. Cheers
