These cute Dirt Cups are a favorite with both kids and adults. They are layered with chocolate pudding, Oreos, and gummy worms to make for an adorable treat!
You might remember a couple weeks back when I talked about my family having a reverence award during church. Yes, no, maybe? Well, whether you do or don’t, I’m here to tell you a little secret – the whole reverence award thing (aka when someone is reverent during church, they get a treat) works just as well on a Sunday School class of rowdy ten year olds as it did on my siblings and I growing up! Each week we ask them what they want for the next week, just to give them a little more incentive to behave. This week, the dessert on the menu? Dirt Cups.
I’ve always thought these were the funniest things! I’ve seen them used to ask someone on a date or to keep up the theme at kid’s birthday parties – the possibilities are endless! The preparation time is basically nil too. They’re sure to be a hit whatever you do with them!
Dirt Cups
These cute Dirt Cups are a favorite with both kids and adults. They are layered with chocolate pudding, Oreos, and gummy worms to make for an adorable treat!
Ingredients
- 1 3.9 oz. pkg chocolate instant pudding mix
- 2 cups cold milk
- 1 8 oz. tub whipped topping, thawed
- 20 Oreo cookies finely crushed, with filling removed
- 10 gummy worms
Instructions
-
Whisk together pudding and milk in a medium bowl for 2 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes.
-
Fold in whipped topping and add 1/2 cup cookie crumbs.
-
Spoon into 10 {6 oz} plastic cups.
-
Top with the remaining cookie crumbs.
-
Refrigerate 1 hour.
-
Top with 2 gummy worms each just before serving.
You could also make “sand cups” instead by substituting the chocolate pudding for vanilla pudding and the Oreos for Vanilla Wafers. Either way, they’re sure to be a hoot! Enjoy.
