Welcome to this week’s Four Favorite Friday! We are running around like mad people over here, trying to get ready for our trip to MEXICO on Sunday! To say I’m excited would be an understatement. This feels like a much needed vacation to be able to rest and relax and get a little beach time and warm weather in. I’m stoked!
I’ve run into kind of a problem though and maybe one of you can help – We are taking Addi {21 months}, which means we are taking her carseat too. Have you ever been on vacation with a child and not rented a car? We don’t plan on renting one, but we aren’t sure what to do with the carseat when we are out and about doing things. If we take a taxi or something, we will literally be dragging that thing around with us all day. No bueno. If anyone has any solutions to offer, I’d be happy to hear them!
In the meantime, enjoy this lovely recap of our week. It’s a good one!
1. Most popular pin on Pinterest – Slow Cooker Mozzarella Stuffed Meatballs from Creme de la Crumb
I’m a huge meatball fan and these look like just too much. In a good way. Meaning, in a want-to-stuff-them-all-in-my-mouth-right-now way.
2. Inspiration via Dieter F. Uchtdorf
I have had so many people in my life that have answered my prayers and I can only hope to be able to answer just one other person’s prayer as well!
3. Recipe we’ve been lusting over – Easy Skillet Lasagna Ravioli from Inside BruCrew Life
I saw this last week when Jocelyn posted it and I immediately began salivating. It’s going on the dinner menu the moment we get back from Mexico!
4. Life Snippet – You know that old cliché that says something about how you never knew you could love your husband more until you saw him with your kids? That pretty much sums up the last two years. I was getting ready for the day this last week, when I heard Zach say, “Okay, we made it up the stairs. Now, let’s go say hi to Mama.” I popped my head around the corner and was welcomed by this:
She couldn’t stop giggling the entire time! These two are pretty much inseparable and it makes my heart want to explode when they are together. I’d be lying if I said the fact that Addi wants Zach over me all. the. time. and will, in fact, cry and scream after nap time or in the mornings if I try to get her instead of Zach didn’t make me feel just a little bit bad, but then there is a huge part of me that secretly revels in the fact that it’s like this. For my entire life, I have envisioned having kids that are so overwhelmingly in love with their dad that it could make me cry looking just at them together. That wish has definitely come true and I have to give credit where credit is due and say that it wouldn’t be possible without Zach being the great dad that he is.
Happy Friday, friends!
