This Homemade Poppy Seed Dressing takes just a few minutes to make. It is so much cheaper than buying it at the store and tastes just as great!
If there is one kind of salad dressing I know I can count on {besides Ranch, because who doesn’t love Ranch??}, it would be Poppy Seed Dressing. It has a mild taste, but still adds to the deliciousness of the salad! After going through who knows how many bottles of it from the grocery store, I love having my very own recipe for Homemade Poppy Seed Dressing and I’m so excited to share it with you today!
Growing up, I loved having dinner at my best friend’s house. Her dad was the most amazing cook and everything he made tasted like it should be in a restaurant. That’s not to say that my parents couldn’t cook, but her dad was extra talented at it. {Her dad also happens to be Zach’s uncle. I guess being an amazing cook runs in the family, because he is a natural!}
Anyway, her family was the one that introduced me to Poppy Seed Dressing. They had it on all of their salads. My parents were avid blue cheese lovers and I couldn’t stand the stuff, so once I got a taste of Poppy Seed Dressing, there was no going back for me.
My favorite salads to pair this Homemade Poppy Seed Dressing with are salads that have fruit in them. It goes particularly well with this Apple Cranberry Feta Pecan Salad that I posted last week! My whole family gobbled it all up at dinner, so I know it’s a winner. I hope you find it just as enjoyable as we do!

Sounds like a delicious dressing. Could you use olive oil instead of vegetable oil?

I haven’t tried it with olive oil, but I’d imagine it would work! I’m not sure if the taste would change at all, but you could definitely try it!

How long will it keep in the refrigerator?
