I know I told you that I was more excited to share my S’mores Truffles with you than any other recipe we’ve made, but this Nutella Ice Cream is a close second, if not a tie. Not only does it taste like a spoonful of Nutella {which, come on, we all know what that tastes like. Probably more than we should.}, but it’s rich and creamy and is pretty much the best ice cream ever. We’ve made it twice this week and I don’t even feel bad about it.
Nutella Ice Cream
Makes about 6 cups
Ingredients:
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1 {14 oz.} can sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup Nutella
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions:
- Using the whisk attachment to your electric mixer, whip the whipping cream until stiff peaks are formed. {Do not over whip or you will have yourself a nice bowl of butter.}
- In a separate, medium-sized bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, Nutella, and vanilla until completely uniform. Fold into the cream until well combined.
- Place in a sealable container and let freeze for at least six hours or overnight.

The other recipe is almost identical, except instead of 1/2 cup of Nutella, she recommend 1 full cup of Nutella. The ice cream in the picture looks much darker. Would it be too rich and chocolatey with double the nutella? Has anybody tried it both ways?

This ice cream is divine. Made it 2 times. I think that I will add the vanilla in with the cream next time though, it seems that when I add it to the Nutella and sweetened condensed milk it almost changes the consistency to a batter with small lumps. Still so good! It was eaten quickly. Thanks for the recipe!
