This Tomato Basil Cream Ravioli is creamy and flavorful and considering how easy it is to make, you will definitely want it in your regular dinner rotation.
Let me be the first to say that I am all for making dinners completely from scratch. I like knowing what’s in it, it makes me feel accomplished, and it usually tastes so much better. But I’ll be darned if you don’t just need something quick and easy that still tastes pretty good, every now and again, gosh dang it! That’s exactly what this Tomato Basil Cream Ravioli is.
It takes less than 15 minutes to make and even my one year old gobbled it up. I’m not going to say that I’m the best cook in the world. I leave that to Zach. But I don’t think I’m a terrible cook and Addi still won’t eat half of what I make. So, considering she ate this and loved it, I’d say it’s a definite win!
I’m not a huge fan of tomatoes, so if you’re not either, trust me when I say that they actually complement this dish. When all is said and done, this has become one of my very favorite pasta dinners!
Tomato-Basil Cream Ravioli
Ingredients
- 1 {20 oz.} package refrigerated Buitoni Four Cheese Ravioli {Or Buitoni Tortellini works great too!}
- 1 {16 oz.} jar Classico Sun-Dried Tomato Alfredo sauce
- 2 Tbsp. chicken broth
- 2 roma tomatoes chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh basil chopped
- 1/3 cup parmesan cheese grated
Instructions
-
Prepare pasta according to package directions.
-
While pasta is cooking, pour Alfredo into a medium saucepan. Pour the chicken broth into the jar and replace the lid. Shake well to get all of the excess sauce out. Stir the broth mixture into the saucepan with the sauce.
-
Stir in the tomatoes and basil and cook over medium-low heat until mixture is thoroughly heated. Add the parmesan and stir continuously until melted.
-
Add the pasta to sauce and coat evenly. Serve warm.
