Work It Wednesday {#29}

Welcome back to another Work It Wednesday! I’m so happy to have you here.

Sorry about last week’s lameness in not having a WIW. I like to get it up the night before {as you can tell} and last Tuesday was my birthday, so blogging wasn’t really on the forefront of my brain. 😉 I was too busy turning 23 and partying it up! Sidenote: can I just say that 23 sounds/feels way older than 22? I was kind of embarrassed to tell people my age when I was a measly 22. I felt like a baby. Maybe it’s because my husband is 28? He’s actually the oldest in our group of friends and I’m the youngest. Ironic much?

Anyway, I was talking to Zachary a couple days before my birthday and he asked me what kind of cake I wanted. I told him I wanted this cheesecake. Because that’s how my mom did things for me growing up. He hesitated and told me that didn’t feel like a real birthday cake, so I had to pick another kind. I thought about it and told him that what I really wanted was an oreo ice cream cake. {I’m a sucker for cookies and cream} I was envisioning something bought from Cold Stone or DQ or something, but no. He did way more than that. He actually made me an oreo flavored ice cream cake that was shaped into an oreo! {recipe coming soon.}

It was gorgeous! I was super impressed. That, along with the surprise party he threw me, I think it’s safe to say that I pretty much have the best husband ever.
