Welcome, once again, to Work It Wednesday!
Today marks the day of 36 weeks of pregnancy for this lady! My doc told me last week that I’m probably not going to make it to 38 weeks, so…there’s that. I feel like a ticking time bomb.

I’ve been frantically trying to make sure we have everything for our little nugget’s big debut, starting with the crib. Yes. We have {possibly} less than 4 weeks left and we don’t even have a crib. We’re sure starting off this whole parenting thing with a bang. 😉 In my defense, I ordered it and two days before its scheduled delivery, I realized that I sent it to our old address. 1500 miles away. When I called to re-route it, they said they were actually out and wouldn’t be able to send me a new one until they came back in stock. Can you say ‘cancel order’? So, I ordered a new one. This one to be exact. I fear it’s a little too vintagey for me, but it has super good reviews everywhere and it wasn’t all that expensive either. I’ve been having fun trying to piece together how to decorate her room!
That’s the other thing. For the last 8 months, her room was going to be pink, gray, and white. Cliché, I know, but I wanted something light, airy, and girly. But do you know how hard it is to find a cute, gray glider/recliner at a decent price? Sooooo, we bought a brown one. And there went all of my decorating plans out the window. If any of you have some fresh color schemes that incorporate brown into it, throw ’em my way! I need all the help I can get.
Anyway, I think it’s time we get back to the reason you’re all here, right? The most viewed link from last week’s party was:
Italian Pasta Salad from Cooking with Curls
And boy, doesn’t that look good. I’d love me a bowl of that right about now! As for my favorite links from last week, they are:
DIY Patriotic Peg Game from 3595
Grilled Chicken Quinoa Tortilla Soup from Living Better Together
Crochet Washcloths from Gingerly Made
Greek Chicken Burgers w/Tzatziki Sauce from Hotch Potch Bliss
20 Popcorn Recipes from Confessions of an ADD Housewife
Red, White, and Blue Cookie Cups from Shaken Together Life

ahhhhh babbbies! I love the crib that you chose, I think it’s adorable! If you search brown and pink color schemes on pinterest it will bring up tons of options;)

You look so radiant!! I love the crib and it’s not too vintage-y. Love the white color. You could try purple? Different shades of purple and violet will work with your brown recliner. Can’t wait to see updates on the blog!

Congrats on getting to 36 weeks! I really like brown and pink together…and I’ve seen some really cute nurseries done in these colors. They were actually our wedding colors, too. 🙂

Thanks soo much for the feature!! Prayers you have a great delivery 🙂 aaaand instead of throwing your color scheme out the window, why not make a slip cover for the recliner 😀 you could use a canvas drop cloth!

You look AMAZING!!! We have the same crib and I LOVE it. (my kids not so much) Is the glider brown fabric or brown wood. If it’s brown wood my suggestion would be to spray paint it white…If it’s fabric you could do brown & pink and white/tan.
